Upasana Chauhan was born and brought up in India. She has launched her own empowerment campaign, ‘Superwomannextdoor’, to empower every girl to unleash her inner superwoman. She has worked with Fortune 500 companies and international banks to promote STEM subjects, and was invited to speak at Columbia University, New York, to encourage girls to take STEM subjects at university.
Upasana is a member and regular contributor of the global online sisterhood, World Pulse, and has written for publications including HuffPost and TIME magazine. She is a working group member of the UN Inter-agency Network on Youth Development, focusing on gender equality issues. She is also a member of the Communications/PR Coalition Committee of the NYC for CEDAW organization, and an International Advisor for the children’s NGO Praveen Lata Sansthan in Jaipur, India.
